There are a few ways you can go about self-hosting the MSP backup solution. If you have a Windows Server you can install the WholesaleBackup Server software configured to your own domain and port. Your deployed MSP backup software clients will be pointed to those settings and start sending incremental, encrypted, data to the server. The data can be recovered from the client or the server by you. The other option is to use your own cloud storage from AWS, GCP, or Wasabi. All you do is generate an API key that is securely programmed into your MSP backup solutions’ endpoints so they can send your customer’s encrypted backup date to your cloud storage. The key thing to point out is that in each instance the customer data is under your control, and you are paying zero middleman storage fees to the backup software provider (WholesaleBackup).
